Wales the home of mining and stunning countryside
Wales is a very beautiful country with several national parks including the Brechon Beacons and Snowdonia national park.
With its long mining history including gold and slate there are many mines and narrow gauge railways to visit especially in Snowdonia. The north Wales coast has plenty of small holiday towns including Rhyl and Prestatyn as well as Colwyn bay with its castle.
Holyhead is the gateway to Ireland, and the north Wales coast could be an ideal stop off point on a journey to Ireland.
