Snowdonia in north Wales a mountainous area of outstanding natural beauty.
Dont just go to wales for the scenery there are other things to do as well in Snowdonia there is a long traditional history of slate mining with little narrow gauge railways that wind thier way round the mountains hills and valleys of north Wales. The Ffestiniog and Bluebell railways are of particular note.
There are plenty of walks around Snowdonia it is also very near the coast of north Wales and places such as Rhyl and Llandudno are easily accessible and a weekend out by coach could easily be accomodated.
